I entered Cecropia as a trainee at UNAB, I was very nervous because the profile they were looking for was to have a good level of English, which I did not meet, but I still decided to apply. Evidently I was scheduled for the technical talk with Carlos and Eleu that day I remember that everything was fine until they told me "well now to finish we are going to make a small conversation in English" I said sure and we tried to make the conversation, because I think it is better to fail in the attempt than never having tried.

Contracting Process

Once the selection and induction filters were done, I was introduced to the internal project team where they are always willing to collaborate. I really liked the fact that the daily reports, called STATUS, were in English because this would help me to practice it.

At this point I was assigned a SuiteCRM project, I had not worked with this technology before so I was assigned a partner to guide me in all the doubts that might arise. Personally I am very grateful because this helped me to deal with anxiety and stress because I had the support of the partner.

Technical Skills

At the beginning it is always hard to get into the rhythm or understand the business logic, but every time you go back to doing tasks it becomes easier to understand and learn new things. This is how I improved my soft skills such as assertive communication, teamwork and flexibility and my technical skills such as English, PHP, JS, POO, MYSQL, among others. All this thanks to the excellent leaders Eleutimio and Carlos as well as the teammates because they were always willing to collaborate.

I close my time as an intern by highlighting the things that I found most positive, such as the timely delivery of the documents requested by the university, the investment made by the company in giving me the opportunity to develop as a professional and the organizational culture.

When the date came when the internship ended, I felt nervous and uncertain because I wanted to stay with the company but I didn't know if they would give me the opportunity. It was a relief to know that I was continuing and I felt ready for this new stage.

At this stage as an employee I have seen first hand that Cecropia really cares about its employees being in the best technical conditions by providing training in different types of technologies or as in my case English courses, labor facilitating work elements necessary to perform the functions properly, social because it has spaces where we can recreate virtually and even have been achieved in person and mental because it is constantly monitoring the employee to know how he/she is and thus be able to provide timely assistance.

Cecropia is one of the most enriching experiences I have had, here I have been able to grow in soft and hard skills which make me a better professional in the area of development in every sense, both technically and socially. Therefore I am very happy and proud to belong to a company that really cares about the integral wellbeing of all its employees.
